FAQs

It teaches that peace (śānti) and well-being (puṣṭi) can be sought through disciplined, sattvic offerings, where the devotee’s intention and purity support Shiva’s grace in removing disturbances and strengthening dharma.

Such homa-offerings are outward supports for Saguna Shiva worship—approaching Shiva as the gracious Lord who accepts simple oblations—while orienting the mind toward inner purification that ultimately leads toward realizing Shiva as Pati beyond bonds.

A śāntika or pauṣṭika homa using milk, rice, or simple caru with the standard seven requisites starting with samidh, ideally accompanied by Shiva-mantra japa (such as the Panchakshara) to steady attention and devotion.
