यस्त्वर्थमनुसंधाय पर्वादिषु तथा व्रती । मासमेकं जपेत्स्तोत्रं स कृत्स्नं फलमाप्नुयात्
yastvarthamanusaṃdhāya parvādiṣu tathā vratī | māsamekaṃ japetstotraṃ sa kṛtsnaṃ phalamāpnuyāt

Significance: Month-long disciplined japa on parvan/festival occasions is framed as a complete sādhana yielding the full promised fruit—typical purāṇic phalaśruti encouraging sustained practice.

It teaches that mere repetition is not the highest practice—recitation joined with contemplation of the hymn’s meaning, performed with vrata-discipline on sacred days, ripens into the “complete fruit,” i.e., Shiva’s full grace leading toward purification and liberation.
In Saguna worship—such as Linga-pūjā—stotra-japa becomes most effective when the devotee holds the intended meaning (artha) while worshipping, aligning mind, speech, and ritual into one-pointed devotion to Shiva as Pati.
