FAQs

It teaches that Śiva-bhakti functions as the liberating means (a “boat”) that carries the soul beyond the flood of sin and bondage; when devotion is firm, the agitating and obscuring forces of rajas and tamas lose their hold.

Linga/Saguna worship is a concrete support for bhakti—through pūjā, japa, and remembrance of Śiva’s compassionate form, the devotee’s mind becomes purified; as devotion matures, the lower gunas subside and the seeker becomes fit for Śiva’s grace and inner realization.

Steady Śiva-nāma japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with simple Linga-pūjā—offering water, bilva leaves, and wearing vibhūti (Tripuṇḍra) as a reminder of purity—supports the bhakti that overcomes rajas and tamas.
