आवरणपूजाविधानम् / The Procedure of Āvaraṇa (Enclosure) Worship
आढ्यो वाथ दरिद्रो वा स्वकां शक्तिमवंचयन् । द्रव्यैर्न्यायार्जितैरेव भक्त्या देवं समर्चयेत्
āḍhyo vātha daridro vā svakāṃ śaktimavaṃcayan | dravyairnyāyārjitaireva bhaktyā devaṃ samarcayet
Ob reich oder arm—ohne die eigene Kraft zurückzuhalten—soll man den Herrn in Hingabe verehren und nur Gaben darbringen, die auf gerechte Weise erworben wurden.

Significance: Frames worship as ethically grounded: offerings should be nyāyārjita (righteously earned). This aligns pilgrimage and temple giving with dharma, making devotion a purifier rather than a cover for harm.

It teaches that Śiva is pleased not by wealth but by sincere bhakti joined to dharma—offering according to one’s means and without deceit, using honestly earned resources.
In Liṅga/Saguṇa worship, the purity of the upacāras (offerings) matters: one may offer little or much, but it should be obtained righteously and offered with devotion, which sanctifies the act of pūjā.
