शिवाचार्याभिषेकविधिः / Rite of Consecrating a Śiva-Teacher (Śivācārya Abhiṣeka)
सकलीकृत्य तं पश्चात्कलापञ्चकरूपिणम् । न्यस्तमंत्रतनुं बद्ध्वा शिवं शिष्यं समर्पयेत्
sakalīkṛtya taṃ paścātkalāpañcakarūpiṇam | nyastamaṃtratanuṃ baddhvā śivaṃ śiṣyaṃ samarpayet
Dann, nachdem man es vollendet hat — in der Gestalt der fünf Kalās — und den Schüler, dessen Leib durch das Auflegen der Mantras geweiht ist, gebunden und gefestigt hat, soll man diesen glückverheißenden Schüler feierlich Śiva darbringen.

It describes the Shaiva initiatory principle that the bound soul (paśu) is ritually refined—made ‘complete’ through fivefold kalā discipline and mantra-nyāsa—and then surrendered to Śiva (Pati), indicating transfer from bondage (pāśa) toward grace-led liberation.
The act of ‘offering the disciple to Śiva’ aligns with Saguna Śiva worship where the initiate is placed under Śiva’s lordship through mantra and ritual order; the Linga becomes the focal support for this consecration, expressing Śiva’s accessible form while pointing to His transcendent reality.
It points to mantra-nyāsa (installing sacred mantras upon the body) as part of dīkṣā, followed by a formal samarpana (surrender/oblation) of oneself to Śiva—an inner vow of devotion and discipline grounded in mantra practice.
