समयाह्वय-संस्कारः — Rite of ‘Samayāhvaya’ and the Preparatory Layout

अथ चैवं करोमीति लब्धानुज्ञस्तु देशिकः । आनीयोपोषितं शिष्यं हविष्याशिनमेव वा

atha caivaṃ karomīti labdhānujñastu deśikaḥ | ānīyopoṣitaṃ śiṣyaṃ haviṣyāśinameva vā

Dann soll der Lehrer (deśika), nachdem er die Erlaubnis erhalten und beschlossen hat: „So will ich es tun“, den Schüler herbeiführen, der in Fastenobservanz gehalten wurde, oder wenigstens einen, der sich von havis, der geheiligten Opfergabe-Speise, nährt.
