शिवसंस्कार-दीक्षानिरूपणम् (Śivasaṃskāra and the Typology of Dīkṣā)

Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakshinamurti
Significance: Highlights guru-saṅga as a direct conduit of Śiva’s grace; reinforces the necessity of right guidance for stable sādhana and successful dīkṣā/saṃskāra.
Role: teaching
It teaches that Shaiva initiation and spiritual refinement become firm when the seeker stays obediently under the Guru; the Guru’s presence—seen, touched, and heard—supports the disciple’s purification and removes obstacles by grace.
In Shaiva Siddhanta, the Guru is the authorized revealer of Shiva-tattva and the proper method of Linga-worship and mantra; steady association with the Guru ensures the disciple’s Saguna Shiva practices are performed correctly and lead toward Shiva’s liberating grace.
Maintain disciplined proximity to the Guru—receive upadesha, keep the mantra practice steady, and follow the prescribed observances (such as purity, daily worship, and Shaiva marks like bhasma/rudraksha where instructed) so the initiation-related sādhana is not interrupted.
