FAQs

It teaches that when a sacred Shaiva object or form is established under Shiva’s authority and approached with intense sincere devotion, mere darśana (beholding) becomes a purifying act that burns accumulated pāpa and turns the soul toward grace.

It supports the Shaiva principle that Saguna Shiva—especially in the form of the Linga—grants purification through darśana when worship is aligned with Shiva’s injunctions (ājñā) and performed with true bhāva, leading the devotee toward higher realization.

Practice reverent darśana with concentrated bhakti—visit a Shiva shrine (Linga), behold with steady mind, and inwardly anchor the attention in Shiva (often through japa of the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), treating the sight itself as a contemplative act.
