अनुग्रह-स्वातन्त्र्य-प्रमाणविचारः | Inquiry into Pramāṇa, Divine Autonomy, and Grace
आगन्तुकत्वे कस्यापि भाव्यं केनापि हेतुना । यो ऽयं हेतुरसावेकस्त्वविचित्रस्वभावतः
āgantukatve kasyāpi bhāvyaṃ kenāpi hetunā | yo 'yaṃ heturasāvekastvavicitrasvabhāvataḥ
Wenn etwas als bloß von außen herzukommend (adventitisch) bezeichnet wird, muss es durch irgendeine Ursache begründet werden. Doch diese Ursache—einzig und von unveränderter Natur—kann für sich allein eine solche Adventizität nicht erklären.

It points to a Shaiva philosophical insight: changing, “added-on” conditions (āgantuka)—like bondage, impurity, and worldly limitation—cannot be explained by a single, unchanging cause; liberation requires recognizing Shiva (Pati) as transcendent to such change and the true ground of freedom.
Linga-worship trains the mind to move from the changing effects to the changeless Reality. The verse supports the contemplative move from worldly explanations to the recognition of Shiva as the steady, non-variegated principle beyond adventitious limitations.
Meditate on the contrast between the changing mind and the changeless Lord through japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while applying Tripuṇḍra bhasma, cultivating discernment (viveka) that bondage is adventitious and liberation lies in Shiva-realization.
