ईशेच्छा च विधातृत्वं विधेराज्ञापनं परम् । आज्ञावश्यमिदं कुर्यान्न कुर्यादिति शासनम्

Transliteration

īśecchā ca vidhātṛtvaṃ vidherājñāpanaṃ param | ājñāvaśyamidaṃ kuryānna kuryāditi śāsanam

Translation

Der Wille des Herrn (Īśa) selbst wird zur Macht des Verordnens; für Brahmā, den kosmischen Ordner, ist Sein Gebot das Höchste. Allein unter diesem Gebot soll man dies tun—oder jenes nicht tun: so lautet der herrschende Erlass.
