The Supreme Lord as the Uncaused Cause

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
The verse praises Shiva as Pati—the supreme Lord who integrates the entire multiplicity of worlds into a single reality, indicating His sovereignty over creation and His role as the ground of unity behind all diversity.
By describing Shiva as the ocean of all auspicious qualities, it supports Saguna contemplation—worshipping the Linga as the accessible, concentrated symbol of the One who pervades and unifies all cosmic realms.
Meditate on Shiva’s guṇas (magnanimity, power, depth, sweetness) while chanting the Panchakshara—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and hold the Linga in mind as the single point (piṇḍa) that gathers the vast cosmos into divine unity.
