दक्षस्य रुद्रनिन्दा-निमित्तकथनम् / The Cause of Dakṣa’s Censure of Rudra
तदात्मगौरवाद्देवो देव्या दक्षे समागते । देवादिभ्यो विशेषेण न कदाचिदभूत्स्मृतिः
tadātmagauravāddevo devyā dakṣe samāgate | devādibhyo viśeṣeṇa na kadācidabhūtsmṛtiḥ
Aus Achtung vor der Würde seines eigenen Wesens zeigte der Herr, als die Göttin zur Opferversammlung Dakṣas kam, niemals—zumal in Gegenwart der Götter und der anderen—ein äußeres Zeichen des Anerkennens oder der Vertrautheit.

It highlights Śiva’s transcendence and inner steadiness: He does not seek validation in public assemblies, and His conduct remains governed by dharma and inner sovereignty rather than social expectation—pointing to the Shaiva ideal of detachment from honor and insult.
As Saguna, Śiva appears in conduct and narrative, yet His inner nature remains beyond worldly recognition. Linga-worship emphasizes this same truth: the Lord is present, but not confined to outward forms of prestige, ritual display, or social approval.
The takeaway is cultivation of equanimity (samatva) while repeating the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offering actions without craving recognition—symbolically supported by Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as reminders of renunciation and inner focus.
