Cosmic Event: prati-kalpa cyclic renewal of creation
It teaches that creation is not autonomous: even Prajāpati’s creative function operates only through Rudra’s prasāda. From a Śaiva Siddhānta lens, Shiva as Pati is the enabling Lord whose grace sustains the cosmic process while remaining transcendent.
The Linga signifies Shiva as the changeless ground and the source of all manifestation. Worship of Saguna Shiva (Rudra) aligns the devotee with the very grace that empowers creation, showing that all worldly order and spiritual uplift arise from Shiva’s favor.
A practical takeaway is daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with contemplation that all activity and outcomes proceed by Rudra’s grace; offering bhasma (Tripuṇḍra) and Rudrākṣa-dhāraṇa can be done as reminders of dependence on Shiva as Pati.
