त्रिमूर्तिसाम्यं तथा महेश्वरस्य परमार्थकारणत्वम् | Equality of the Trimūrti and Maheśvara as the Supreme Cause

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: creative
Cosmic Event: origin of brahmāṇḍa from avyaktā under Maheśvara; subsequent birth of Brahmā and fashioning of lokas
It establishes Maheshvara as the transcendent Pati (Lord) who stands beyond the Unmanifest and initiates creation, while Brahmā performs the secondary work of forming the worlds—pointing seekers to Shiva as the ultimate refuge and source of liberation.
The verse implies that even the creator Brahmā arises through Shiva’s supreme causality; thus Linga-worship honors Shiva as the foundational reality behind all cosmic functions, including the manifest worlds produced through Brahmā.
Meditate on Shiva as the source beyond Avyakta and repeat the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with the understanding that all creation depends on Him; this supports detachment from worldly forms and steadiness in devotion.
