The Esoteric Teaching on Umā’s Kriyāyoga
इति वाक्यैस्तोषयेच्च नानावादित्रनिस्वनैः । सीमान्ते तु रथं नीत्वा तत्र संपूजये द्रथे
iti vākyaistoṣayecca nānāvāditranisvanaiḥ | sīmānte tu rathaṃ nītvā tatra saṃpūjaye drathe
Mit solchen Worten und mit dem widerhallenden Klang vieler Arten von Musikinstrumenten soll man die verehrte Gottheit oder die ehrwürdige Person erfreuen. Dann bringe man den Wagen bis an die Grenze (des Dorfes oder der Stadt) und vollziehe dort die vollständige Verehrung, während er im Wagen sitzt.

The verse reflects Saguna-oriented worship: Shiva is approached through visible, celebratory ritual—music, respectful words, and formal pūjā—supporting the devotee’s mind to become steady and reverent toward the Linga or the worshipful form of Shiva.
A practical takeaway is ceremonial procession (ratha-yātrā-like honoring), accompanied by auspicious music and spoken praises, culminating in saṃpūrṇa-pūjā at the sīmānta (boundary). Mentally, one should keep the attitude of pleasing Shiva through disciplined senses (speech and hearing).
