Umāyāḥ Kriyāyoga-Rahasya

The Esoteric Teaching on Umā’s Kriyāyoga

FAQs

It teaches that devotion is expressed through refined speech and sacred sound (vāditra-nisvana), and that honoring Shiva’s presence includes outward ritual acts—procession and public reverence—done with inner humility and joy.

The verse reflects Saguna-oriented worship: Shiva is approached through visible, celebratory ritual—music, respectful words, and formal pūjā—supporting the devotee’s mind to become steady and reverent toward the Linga or the worshipful form of Shiva.

A practical takeaway is ceremonial procession (ratha-yātrā-like honoring), accompanied by auspicious music and spoken praises, culminating in saṃpūrṇa-pūjā at the sīmānta (boundary). Mentally, one should keep the attitude of pleasing Shiva through disciplined senses (speech and hearing).
