श्रुत्वा तद्वृत्तमाज्ञाय तं शशाप कृतागसम् । अकामतोविचार्य्येति शूद्रो भव न क्षत्रियः
śrutvā tadvṛttamājñāya taṃ śaśāpa kṛtāgasam | akāmatovicāryyeti śūdro bhava na kṣatriyaḥ
Als er jenes Geschehen vernahm und erkannte, was sich zugetragen hatte, verfluchte er den Schuldigen: „Weil du ohne rechte Unterscheidung und ohne gebührende Erwägung gehandelt hast, werde ein Śūdra—nicht länger ein Kṣatriya.“
