Nachdem sie so beraten hatten, o Weiser, gingen alle Götter zur Wohnstatt ihres Lehrers; und um ihr eigenes Anliegen zu erfüllen, traten sie an den Guru heran und erstatteten ihm ihre Bitte.

Tattva Level: pashu
It highlights Guru-tattva: even the devas rely on right counsel and humility, showing that spiritual and worldly aims are best fulfilled through proper guidance and disciplined submission rather than pride.
In Shaiva tradition, approaching the Guru is the doorway to correct Shiva-upasana—learning the proper attitude, mantra, and method for Saguna Shiva worship (including Linga devotion) so that effort becomes aligned with dharma and grace.
A practical takeaway is to seek initiation/instruction for Shiva-mantra japa (especially the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and to approach worship with nivedana—offering one’s intention and surrender before beginning practice.
