शिवस्तुतिवर्णनम् (Śiva-stuti-varṇanam) — “Description of Hymns in Praise of Śiva”
Sanatkumara
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It highlights that even the highest devas respond to Śiva’s will with joy and humility—first hearing, then bowing, then speaking—showing bhakti and śaraṇāgati (surrender) to Pati, the supreme Lord.
The verse reflects Saguna-upāsanā: the devas approach Maheśvara as the personal Lord who speaks and guides. In Shiva worship, this same attitude is expressed by offering reverence (namaskāra) before the Liṅga as Śiva’s manifest presence.
The immediate takeaway is to practice reverent listening (śravaṇa) to Śiva’s teachings, followed by namaskāra. In daily pūjā, this can be paired with Panchākṣarī japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and a brief prostration before worship.
