Darauf erkannte die allwissende Göttin—die selbst der halbe Leib des Herrn ist—jenes Zeichen; und mit eben jener kugelgleichen Waffe, o Herr, schlug sie beide zugleich nieder.

FAQs

It highlights the inseparability of Shiva and Shakti—Parvati, as the Lord’s half-body, acts with perfect insight; divine grace removes opposing forces in a single, decisive movement.

In Saguna worship, Shiva is adored together with Shakti; this verse reinforces that the Lord’s power (Shakti) is not separate from him—an essential understanding behind Linga worship as the unified presence of consciousness and power.

Meditate on Shiva-Shakti unity (Ardhanārī-bhāva) while repeating the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” cultivating the insight to recognize divine guidance and the steadiness to overcome inner dualities.
