Sieg!“
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the battle episode; reporting Śiva’s words)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Mantra: tiṣṭha tiṣṭha iti
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
It portrays Śiva as Pati—the sovereign protector who checks adharma. His command “Stop!” signifies the divine restraint placed upon destructive tendencies, while “Jaya Jaya” reflects the soul’s trust that dharma prevails under Śiva’s grace.
The verse highlights Saguna Śiva—Hara who actively intervenes in the world to uphold cosmic order. Linga-worship venerates this same Lord as the ever-present Pati who both transcends and governs creation, protecting devotees and subduing negativity.
A practical takeaway is japa with a victorious devotional refrain—chanting “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” followed by “Jaya Śiva, Jaya Śiva” to cultivate inner restraint (niyama) and courage, supported by Tripuṇḍra-bhasma and Rudrākṣa as Śaiva aids.
