शिवतेजसः समुद्रे बालरूपप्रादुर्भावः (Śiva’s Tejas Manifesting as a Child in the Ocean)
Suta Goswami (narratorial colophon concluding the chapter, addressed to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya by context)
Sthala Purana: Colophon marking the closure of the chapter on Jalandhara’s birth and marriage within the larger Jalandhara-vadha upākhyāna.
This is a chapter-concluding colophon that formally seals the narrative unit; spiritually, it frames Jalandhara’s rise (birth and marriage) within the larger arc of dharma restored under Śiva’s lordship (Pati), reminding the listener that worldly power must ultimately align with divine order.
Though it is not a direct worship-instruction, it situates the coming events under Śiva’s saguna governance of the cosmos—where devotion, humility, and right conduct are upheld, and arrogance is corrected—an outlook that supports Linga-worship as reverence to Śiva as the sovereign Pati.
As a colophon, it implies a pause for śravaṇa-manana (listening and reflection); a fitting practice is to conclude recitation with “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offer mental worship to the Liṅga, and reflect on controlling ahaṅkāra (ego) before proceeding to the next section.
