शिवतत्त्ववर्णनम् (Śiva-tattva-varṇana) — “Description/Exposition of the Principle of Śiva”
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva as Sarveśvara whose anugraha (incomparable grace) initiates guidance; liberation is ultimately enabled by the Lord’s compassionate turning toward the soul (and here, toward Viṣṇu in the cosmic dialogue).
By portraying Śiva as the personal Lord who speaks with affection and grants mercy, the verse supports Saguna devotion—approaching Śiva as a gracious Master (often worshipped as the Liṅga) who removes bonds as Hara.
The takeaway is to seek Śiva’s grace through bhakti and japa—especially Panchākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya")—remembering Him as Hara and Sarveśvara while cultivating humility and receptivity to divine instruction.
