Da ich dies erkannt habe, o Hari, werde ich dich heute kraft jener Autorität unterweisen, damit du niemals wieder — weder irgendwo noch irgendwann — eine solche Tat begehst.
Lord Shiva (Rudra)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: teaching
It presents Shiva as the supreme spiritual preceptor who corrects even exalted deities, emphasizing dharmic restraint and the necessity of right action aligned with divine order.
Shiva’s role as Saguna Guru—who teaches and disciplines—supports Linga worship as devotion to the visible, accessible form of the transcendent Lord who guides beings away from harmful karma.
The practical takeaway is self-restraint supported by daily Shiva-upāsanā—especially japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and mindful repentance—so one does not repeat adharmic actions.
