It teaches that devotion becomes complete when inner reverence is expressed through orderly worship—ārati, salutations, and praise—so the mind is gathered and offered to Shiva as Pati (the Lord) through disciplined bhakti.
Nīrājana, stotra, and mantra are classic upacāras of Saguna worship; they honor Shiva’s accessible presence (often as the Linga) while training the devotee’s attention toward His transcendent reality beyond form.
Perform ārati according to vidhi, then offer namaskāra and recite stotras and mantras—especially the Panchākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya")—as a focused post-puja japa and praise sequence.
