Du allein wirst stets der beständige Gegenstand meiner Betrachtung sein, niemals anders. Und von dir habe ich wahrlich schon zuvor alle Fähigkeit und Kraft erlangt, um meine Aufgabe zu vollbringen.
Brahmā (addressing Lord Śiva/Rudra as the supreme support of creation)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Cosmic Event: Sṛṣṭi-prasaṅga: Brahmā acknowledges Śiva as the inner support and source of competence for creation.
The verse establishes Śiva as the unwavering dhyeya (sole focus of contemplation). In a Shaiva Siddhanta lens, it highlights Pati (Śiva) as the source of all śakti—both for worldly action (like creation) and for inner purification leading toward liberation.
Calling Śiva the constant dhyeya supports Saguna upāsanā: the mind is anchored in a tangible focus such as the Śiva-liṅga, through which devotion and concentration mature. The liṅga functions as a stable support for dhyāna, enabling grace and empowerment.
A clear takeaway is daily Śiva-dhyāna: keep Śiva as the single focus while repeating a Śaiva mantra (commonly the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), optionally with tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and rudrākṣa as aids to steadiness and remembrance.
