FAQs

It frames a truthful counsel being delivered in a divine dialogue, highlighting that even cosmic powers like desire (Manmatha) operate within dharma and must speak “tathya” (truth) before higher authority—echoing Shaiva Siddhanta’s emphasis that bonds like desire are subordinate to the Supreme Lord’s order.

Though the Linga is not named here, the Sati Khanda narrative typically places cosmic events under Shiva’s sovereignty; such dialogues prepare the ground for understanding that worldly impulses (kama) are ultimately resolved by turning to Saguna Shiva—worship, devotion, and surrender to the Lord who rules the universe.

The takeaway is truthfulness and restraint: steady the mind when desire arises, repeat the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and cultivate Shiva-bhakti so that kama becomes governed by dharma rather than agitation.
