Consolation of the Devas and the Ordinance of Consequences in the Dakṣa-Yajña Episode
An offender/devotee addressing Lord Shiva (Śaṅkara) in repentance (Satīkhaṇḍa narrative context)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
It teaches that Shiva’s anugraha (saving grace) can appear as correction or suffering; when ego collapses, the soul admits ignorance of Shiva-tattva and becomes fit for purification and liberation.
It supports Saguna Shiva-bhakti: the devotee turns to Śaṅkara as a personal Lord who guides through discipline, leading the soul toward deeper realization of Shiva’s tattva beyond mere outer understanding.
Cultivate repentance and surrender with japa of the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), and perform simple Śiva-upāsanā such as offering water to the Liṅga while mentally accepting hardships as Shiva’s corrective grace.
