Description of Kāma’s Marriage

The verse presents Satī’s auspicious, moonlike radiance as a sacred vision of Śakti—teaching that the devotee should perceive the Divine Mother not through desire, but through purified bhakti that recognizes her as the power (Śakti) inseparable from Shiva (Pati).
In Shaiva Siddhanta, Shiva is worshiped with Śakti as his inseparable energy; describing Satī’s auspicious form supports Saguna worship by training the mind to contemplate divine attributes with reverence—ultimately leading the worshiper toward the Linga as the stable focus of devotion and inner purification.
A practical takeaway is śuddha-bhāvanā (pure contemplation): during japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), meditate on Shiva-Shakti as auspicious and luminous, while maintaining restraint and reverence; optionally support this with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as aids to steadiness.
