The cool fragrant breeze and the unified sound of divine drums signify an auspicious descent of grace—nature and the devas mirroring inner purity and divine approval, encouraging steadfast bhakti toward Śiva.
Such auspicious signs traditionally accompany Saguna worship—when Śiva is approached through form (Liṅga, mantra, ritual), the cosmos is portrayed as responding harmoniously, affirming the devotee’s rite and intention.
Cultivate a calm, fragrant, sattvic atmosphere for worship—perform japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with steady breath, and accompany pūjā with devotional sound (nāda) such as bells or drumbeats in measured rhythm.
