Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: teaching
It teaches right contemplative remembrance: the seeker should discern the Supreme Principle and, with purified intellect, avoid false self-absolutization—turning instead toward Shiva as the transcendent Lord who grants liberating knowledge.
By rejecting egoic identification with the Absolute, the devotee approaches Shiva as Pati (the Lord) through Saguna supports like the Śiva-liṅga—using form-based worship to purify the mind and mature into higher realization.
Practice śuddha-smaraṇa (pure remembrance) of Shiva: steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” accompanied by inner contemplation that the individual self is dependent on Shiva, supported by Shaiva disciplines such as bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa where appropriate.
