दक्षस्य तपः तथा जगदम्बायाः प्रत्यक्षता — Dakṣa’s Austerities and the Direct Manifestation of Jagadambā
ब्रह्मोवाच । जगदम्बावचश्श्रुत्वा ततो दक्षः प्रजापतिः । सुप्रहृष्टतरः प्राह नामं नामं च तां शिवाम्
brahmovāca | jagadambāvacaśśrutvā tato dakṣaḥ prajāpatiḥ | suprahṛṣṭataraḥ prāha nāmaṃ nāmaṃ ca tāṃ śivām
Brahmā sprach: Als Dakṣa, der Prajāpati, die Worte der Jagadambā vernommen hatte, wurde er überaus erfreut; und in großer Freude redete er jene glückverheißende Göttin immer wieder an, indem er sie wieder und wieder beim Namen nannte.

It highlights the transformative power of the Goddess’s (Jagadambā’s) words: when they are heard with receptivity, the heart turns toward auspiciousness (śivam), expressed as joy, reverence, and repeated remembrance of the Divine Name.
Though the verse centers on Śivā (Satī) as the Divine Mother, it supports Saguna devotion in Shaiva tradition: honoring the manifest form of the Divine through name, praise, and personal address—devotional attitudes that also apply to Linga worship as a sacred focus for the Lord’s grace.
A simple practice is nāma-smaraṇa (repetition of the Divine Name) with devotion—mentally repeating Shiva–Shakti names (e.g., “Śiva, Śivā”) as a contemplative act, aligning speech and mind with auspiciousness.
