सतीसंक्षेपचरित्रवर्णनम् — Summary Description of Satī’s Narrative

नाजुहाव तथाभूतो रुद्रं रोषसमाकुलः । तथा तत्र सतीं नाम्ना स्वपुत्रीं विधिमोहितः

nājuhāva tathābhūto rudraṃ roṣasamākulaḥ | tathā tatra satīṃ nāmnā svaputrīṃ vidhimohitaḥ

Von Zorn gegen Rudra überwältigt, brachte er in diesem Zustand die rituelle Opfergabe (homa) nicht dar. Dann, durch Brahmās Verfügung verblendet, zeugte er dort eine eigene Tochter, die den Namen Satī trug.
