Transliteration

sevārthaṃ tasya tanayāmupadiśya tapasvinaḥ taṃ | vai prārthitavāṃstasyāṃ na tadāṃgīcakāra saḥ

Translation

Zum Zwecke des Dienstes empfahl der Asket ihm die Tochter jenes Weisen. Er bat wahrlich um ihre Hand, doch damals nahm sie ihn nicht an.
