पार्वत्याः यात्रासंस्कारः तथा पातिव्रत्योपदेशः / Preparations for Girijā’s Auspicious Journey and the Teaching on Pātivratya

परलोकस्त्वयं लोको जीयते भार्य या द्वयम् । देवपित्रतिथीज्यादि नाभार्यः कर्म चार्हति

paralokastvayaṃ loko jīyate bhārya yā dvayam | devapitratithījyādi nābhāryaḥ karma cārhati

Diese Welt und die jenseitige Welt werden beide durch die Ehefrau getragen. Ohne Ehefrau ist man nicht geeignet, die Riten der Verehrung für die Götter, die Ahnen (pitṛ), die Gäste und die damit verbundenen heiligen Pflichten rechtmäßig zu vollziehen.
