कथं मेनागिरीशौ च तेपाते परमन्तपः । कथं सुताऽभवत्तस्य मेनायान्तात तद्वद
kathaṃ menāgirīśau ca tepāte paramantapaḥ | kathaṃ sutā'bhavattasya menāyāntāta tadvada
„O Mächtiger, sage mir, wie Menā und der Herr der Berge (Himālaya) die höchste Askese (tapas) vollzogen; und erkläre, wie ihm eine Tochter geboren wurde – aus Menā selbst.“
