Als er jene beiden Herren der Götter sah, die Śiva stets überaus lieb sind, verneigte sich Girīśa (der Himālaya) mitsamt seinem Gefolge ehrerbietig.

Type: stotra
The verse highlights bhakti expressed as humble praṇāma: even a great being like Himālaya honors those who are dear to Śiva, showing that reverence and humility are marks of true spiritual alignment with Pati (Śiva).
It supports Saguna devotion: honoring Śiva’s beloved divine beings and approaching the sacred with respect mirrors how devotees approach the Śiva-liṅga—with ādarā (reverence), surrender, and recognition of Śiva’s living presence in worship.
Practice daily namaskāra (prostration) to Śiva—ideally before the liṅga—while remembering the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” cultivating inner humility and devotional steadiness.
