Devas’ Hymn, Nandikeśvara’s Petition, and Śiva’s Rising from Samādhi

Role: teaching
It describes Shiva as Pati, the transcendent Supreme Reality—eternal, beyond form and speech, untouched by the guṇas—realized not by mere description but by inner spiritual knowledge that culminates in liberation.
Though Shiva is declared nirguṇa and beyond words, the Linga and saguna worship serve as compassionate supports (ālambana) for the bound soul, leading the mind from symbol and form toward direct realization of the formless, supreme Shiva.
A jñāna-oriented meditation: steady contemplation on Shiva as beyond guṇas and beyond speech, supported by mantra-japa such as the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” allowing devotion to mature into direct inner realization.
