kṛtvā praṇāmaṃ viṣṇośca saṃstutiṃ bhaktisaṃyutāḥ | tasthustadājñayā tatra susamājo mahānabhūt

The verse highlights bhakti expressed through reverent salutation and praise, and shows that spiritual order arises when devotees align their conduct with divine instruction—creating a “su-samāja,” a harmonious sacred assembly conducive to dharma and Shiva-oriented auspiciousness.
Although Viṣṇu is praised here, the Shiva Purana frequently presents mutual reverence among divine forms to establish harmony and right conduct; such disciplined devotion and obedience prepare the mind for Saguna worship—like Linga-pūjā—where steadiness, purity, and communal sanctity support deeper contemplation of Shiva as Pati (the Lord).
A practical takeaway is to begin worship with प्रणाम (prostration) and स्तुति (praise) in a devotional mood, then remain steady in the prescribed rule (ājñā/vidhi); this aligns well with daily Shiva-pūjā that includes respectful invocations, focused stillness, and mantra-japa such as the Panchakshara.
