Daraufhin näherte sich Diti, reuevoll wegen ihrer eigenen früheren Tat, erneut ihrem Gemahl. Durch hingebungsvollen und vortrefflichen Dienst machte sie jenen Muni überaus zufrieden.

It highlights that remorse for one’s own karma, followed by sincere seva (devoted service), restores harmony and purifies the heart—an essential Shaiva ethic for moving from bondage (pāśa) toward grace and inner clarity.
Though the verse is narrative, its principle is central to Saguna Shiva worship: approaching the sacred with humility and steady service. Such bhakti-oriented conduct prepares the devotee to worship the Liṅga with purity, receptivity, and devotion.
The implied practice is seva as sādhana: disciplined service, repentance, and self-restraint. In Shaiva observance this is commonly paired with daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple purity disciplines to align action with devotion.
