Description of the General Battle Between Devas and Daityas

It highlights that brute force alone is unstable; victory and protection ultimately align with īśvara-saṅkalpa (the Lord’s higher ordinance). In Shaiva understanding, power becomes auspicious only when harmonized with Śiva’s dharma and grace.
The narrative underscores that even exalted divine agents act within the cosmic governance of Śiva. Linga-worship centers the devotee in that supreme axis (Pati), teaching reliance on grace over pride in personal or borrowed power.
A practical takeaway is steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with humility, and adopting Tripuṇḍra-bhasma as a reminder that strength and achievements are transient without Śiva-anugraha (divine grace).
