Dann, mit in Ehrfurcht gebeugten Schultern und erfreut über den Ausruf „Namaḥ“, umringten sie ihn und standen bereit – herbeigekommen zu seiner linken und rechten Seite.
Sūta Gosvāmin
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Mantra: namaḥ
Type: stotra
The verse highlights the Shaiva Siddhanta mood of dāsya-bhakti (reverent service): humility (bowed posture), mantra-oriented reverence (“namaḥ”), and attentive presence around the Lord—signs of surrender to Pati (Shiva).
It reflects Saguna worship through embodied gestures—circumambulating/standing near and offering “namaḥ.” The same devotion is directed to the Shiva-liṅga in pūjā: approaching, surrounding (parikramā), and honoring Shiva as the accessible compassionate Lord.
Practice repeated “namaḥ” (as in the Panchākṣarī, Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a bowed, humble attitude; accompany it with respectful attendance in pūjā—standing near the liṅga, offering namaskāra, and performing pradakṣiṇā.
