Narration of Kārttikeya’s Divine Play

The verse highlights the sanctifying power of darśana—beholding a divinely endowed being is portrayed as “parama-pāvana,” indicating that Shiva’s grace operates through sacred encounters that purify the heart and strengthen bhakti.
Though the Liṅga is not named here, the theme is Saguna grace: Shiva’s presence is known through perceivable, purifying manifestations. In Shaiva Siddhānta terms, the devotee is uplifted through Shiva’s compassionate self-revelation (anugraha) experienced as sacred vision.
A practical takeaway is to cultivate purifying darśana through daily Shiva worship—offerings with mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and a focused, reverent gaze upon the Liṅga, treating the act of seeing as a means of inner purification.
