Description of the Birth/Manifestation of Śiva’s Son
yajjātaṃ tajjātameva prastutaṃ śṛṇutā'marāḥ | śirastaskhalitaṃ vīryaṃ ko grahīṣyati me'dhunā
Tattva Level: pasha
The verse highlights the urgency of rightly containing and channeling divine potency (vīrya/śakti). In a Shaiva Siddhanta lens, power must be held within dharma and purified intention; otherwise it becomes a cosmic burden requiring a fit vessel.
It echoes a core Shaiva theme: infinite power must have a sanctified support (ādhāra). Linga-worship trains the devotee to approach Saguna Shiva as the stable locus where transcendent energy is reverently contained, offered, and transformed into grace.
A practical takeaway is disciplined containment through japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and purity observances; symbolically, Tripuṇḍra-bhasma and Rudrākṣa remind the sādhaka to restrain and consecrate inner energies rather than let them “fall” into distraction.
