Shiva Purana — Rudra Samhita, Shloka 51

गणेशाभिषेक-वरदान-विधानम् | Gaṇeśa’s Consecration, Boons, and Prescribed Worship

स्थण्डिलेष्टपलं कृत्वा तदा वेदविधानतः । होमश्चैवात्र कर्तव्यो वित्तशाठ्यविवर्जितैः

sthaṇḍileṣṭapalaṃ kṛtvā tadā vedavidhānataḥ | homaścaivātra kartavyo vittaśāṭhyavivarjitaiḥ

Dann bereite man das Sthaṇḍila (heilige Opferstätte) und die Ritualmaterialien gemäß den vedischen Vorschriften. Auch das Homa ist hier zu vollziehen, frei von Täuschung und Geiz in Bezug auf den Besitz, mit aufrichtigem Darbringen.
