शिवविहारवर्णनम् (Śivavihāra-varṇana) — “Description of Śiva’s Divine Pastimes/Sojourn”
Śiva-gaṇas (attendants of Lord Śiva)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: teaching
It frames sacred narration as an act of Śiva-bhakti: truth is to be spoken “as it is” when the heart is aligned with devotion to Pati (Śiva), the supreme Lord who grants clarity and grace.
By addressing Hari and emphasizing “Śiva-prīti,” the verse points to Saguna Śiva as the approachable Lord whose devotees (the gaṇas) transmit His leelās and teachings—an essential basis for Linga-centered devotion and Purāṇic worship.
A practical takeaway is śravaṇa (devotional listening) with Śiva-bhakti—hearing Śiva-kathā attentively, ideally alongside japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” as a preparatory discipline for inner purification.
