Śiva-jñāna and the Non-dual Vision of a Śiva-maya Universe (शिवज्ञानम्—सर्वं शिवमयम्)
यथैव हि सुर्वणादि क्षारादेः शोधितं शुभम् । पूर्ववन्मूल्यतां याति तथा जीवोऽपि संस्कृतेः
yathaiva hi survaṇādi kṣārādeḥ śodhitaṃ śubham | pūrvavanmūlyatāṃ yāti tathā jīvo'pi saṃskṛteḥ
Wie Gold und dergleichen, wenn es durch Laugen und andere Läuterungsmittel gereinigt wird, glückverheißend wird und seinen früheren Wert wiedererlangt, so erreicht auch der Jīva, die individuelle Seele, wenn er durch Saṃskāra—heilige Disziplin und weihende Praktiken—veredelt wird, erneut seinen wahren Wert.
