It shows the Shaiva principle that Shiva’s grace (anugraha) is awakened by sincere dharmic conduct and unwavering devotion; when the devotee’s inner purity is evident, Shiva responds directly by offering a boon.
The verse reflects Saguna Shiva’s compassionate, personal relationship with devotees—worship of the Linga is not merely external ritual but is fulfilled when devotion and right conduct mature into Shiva’s tangible blessing.
A practical takeaway is steadfast vrata and bhakti—especially japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with disciplined conduct—offered as inner worship that invites Shiva’s prasāda (grace).
