The Manifestation/Origin of the Rāmeśvara Liṅga
Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Vīrabhadra
Significance: Depicts ‘sthiti’ as dharmic consolidation—right alliances and disciplined forces gathered to sustain the mission until completion; mirrors how sādhana requires stable supports (saṅga, guru, śāstra).
Role: nurturing
It highlights dharmic cooperation: the righteous (puṇya) and the strong (balavat) gather around a divine purpose, reflecting how grace and right action support the seeker on the path ultimately leading toward Shiva’s highest refuge.
In Kotirudra’s Jyotirlinga context, such episodes frame how avatāric dharma (Rāma’s mission) is fulfilled alongside devotion—preparing the ground for reverence to Saguna Shiva as Jyotirlinga, where divine aid meets disciplined effort.
Emulate the verse’s spirit through steady bhakti and discipline: daily japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) while maintaining sāttvika conduct and seeking the company of the virtuous (puṇya-saṅga).
