It teaches that Śiva-worship is not random but proceeds from inner alignment (dhyāna) to outer rite (pūjā), culminating in āvaraṇa-pūjā—honoring Śiva along with His divine order and attendants, integrating devotion with disciplined method.
In Saguna worship—often centered on the Śiva-liṅga—one begins with contemplative remembrance and proper offerings, then extends worship to the surrounding āvaraṇas (retinue/mandalic enclosures), affirming that the Liṅga is the center of a sacred, ordered presence.
First perform dhyāna (steady contemplation on Śiva), then execute pūjā according to vidhi (mantra, offerings, purity), and only afterward begin āvaraṇa-pūjā—systematic worship of the attendant circles/guardians associated with Śiva’s ritual maṇḍala.
