तत्पत्रं तत्र निक्षिप्य पश्चिमाभिमुखः स्थितः । तत्पूर्वभागे सुदृढं सूत्रमादाय रंजितम्
tatpatraṃ tatra nikṣipya paścimābhimukhaḥ sthitaḥ | tatpūrvabhāge sudṛḍhaṃ sūtramādāya raṃjitam
Nachdem er jenes Blatt dort niedergelegt hatte, stand er nach Westen gewandt. Dann nahm er an dessen Ostseite einen festen Faden—bereits gefärbt (geweiht)—und hielt ihn für das Ritual bereit.
